Marketing tip: Do not short change yourself or your Company by using a “slapped together”, cheap business card. Your Business Card may be the only contact a prospective client will have to make a decision whether to call you. It can provide a positve OR negative perception of your Company. It is another Marketing Point that is totally overlooked by even the larges Companies. That Business Card is one of your most valuable marketing tools. Be creative when developing, designing and printing that card.

What do you think about having your picture on your business card? Since I am in real estate and see that many real estate agents do this, but most other professionals do not, it makes me wonder what is best?
I do think having website address, email, 1-800 number, twitter and other social network info is more important than my ugly mug.
In Real Estate, I think a picture is important. Not to sound sexest, I think female agents can make themselves targets by using their pictures. That is a scary scenario. A male’s picture is good. The other info is important too. I would try to design a business card at least 3-4 inches diameter. Create a card larger than can be put in an index file or wallet. It could look like a house or show a collage of house/commercial pix or pix of lots of smiling faces or any other symbolism if your industry. You could design it like an event admission ticket that says admit to your new home or something. Make it oversized and let it represent what you do. Create something NO ONE ELSE is doing in your industry.
